(Getting Ready for) Spring Flag Changing Ceremony

Step into the heart of the Castro as we bid adieu to the old and welcome the new! Our iconic 20x30 rainbow flag, the emblem of LGBTQ pride and unity, is set to undergo a magical transformation in preparation for the blossoming Spring season ahead.

The rainbow flag isn't just fabric; it's a beacon of love, acceptance, and equality that has stood tall since its creation by Gilbert Baker in 1978. As we hoist the fresh flag high, we honor the rich legacy of LGBTQ activists and leaders who paved the way for progress and celebration.

Join us as we bring down the old and unfurl and raise the new!

Bear in mind, and we can’t stress this enough - this event is weather dependent. The flag needs to be dry and it can’t be too windy out. So check this space!
